BLUE JAY NORTHERN HIGHBUSH BLUEBERRY
Firm, medium size fruit, ripens early mid-season. Fruit doesn't crack or fall off in wet weather. High yielding, vigorous plant. The upright stately plant with its heavy fruit set makes quite an impression when word into the yard. Bluejay's fruit hangs to the outside of the canopy with a long stem making harvesting easy. An ideal variety for larger commercial plantings, because it is a plant well suited to mechanical harvesting. Though self-fruitful, they will produce a larger crop with other varieties planted nearby. The plant's large, dark green foliage along with the small, firm, light blue berry makes a beautiful contrast in the landscape. Take advantage of the ornamental quality of this variety. Has great fall colors from yellow-orange, to red and purple. Pollinate with BlueCrop or Blueray for best yields. Zones 5-7 from Pense Nursery, Inc.
