Southern Home is a hybrid bunch x muscadine grape developed from
breeding work done by Bob Zhender and Dr.
John Mortenson from the University of Florida. It bears clusters of
black, elongated grapes with excellent sweet flavor and a high sugar
content (17.5-18.5%). It also has an attractive maple shaped leaf with
deep sinuses, that shows its bunch grape heritage. One of the best
cultivars! Very hardy, disease resistant. Ripens Aug-Sep. Zones 7-9,Self-pollinating.
